Agency tour designed to end HIV Stigma

    Jackson, MS (May 10, 2023) The I Am ONLY HUMAN Tour, which is designed to raise awareness and end HIV and STI stigma by promoting love over hate, will stop in Winstonville, MS, Saturday, May 13, 2023, and participate in the Winstonville 25th Annual Homecoming festivities.  

    Beginning at 11:30 a.m., the Institute for the Minority Health and CLM Healthcare Service Center will engage local residents and provide free health screenings and wellness resources.  

    Tour activities include COVID tests, rapid HIV tests, and basic health screenings (blood pressure and glucose screenings).  Tobacco cessation information, HIV self-testing kits, and educational resources on Prep will be distributed, also.

    The Institute for the Advancement of Minority Health was established in 2019 to reduce health disparities among disadvantaged and underserved minority populations in the Mississippi through the development of collaborative partnerships with community stakeholders and the implementation of evidence-based public health interventions with a particular focus on health equity.
