Teen health/wellness fair scheduled for Easter weekend 

    Jackson, MS –A teen health and wellness fair will be held from 1 p.m. – 6 p.m., Saturday, April 8, 2023, at Shelby Community Park, Shelby, MS.  The Just for the Health of It health and wellness fair will teach teens how to develop and maintain healthy habits.

    Attendees will enjoy an Easter Egg hunt, festivities, food, music, and giveaways.  Health professionals will be on hand to provide HIV/AIDs testing, tobacco cessation information, COVID-19 testing, and various health screenings.  Adults (21 and older) can register to win a 65-inch TV.  

    Sponsored by The Institute for the Advancement of Minority Health, Shaw Family Medical, and CLM Healthcare, the event is in observance of National Youth HIV/AIDS Awareness Day (NYHAAD) and is designed to help young people stay healthy by encouraging HIV testing, prevention, and treatment.  The event is free and open to the public.
