A Greenwood eighth-grade teacher was fatally shot on Monday night, as confirmed by Leflore County Coroner Debra Sanders. Casey Larry, aged 28, was discovered deceased on Quail Trail, according to Leflore County Sheriff James Payne Sr. On Tuesday, Payne did not disclose a specific address or provide details regarding Larry’s death. He mentioned, “This case is still under investigation.”
