Aaron E. Henry Community Health Center Receives Health Quality Award

CLARKSDALE, Miss —Aaron E. Henry Community Health Services Center, Inc. (AEHCHC) has received the 2023 Community Health Quality Recognition (CHQR) badge and certificate from the Health Resources & Services Administration (HRSA). CHQR badges recognize Health Center Program awardees and look-alikes that have made notable quality improvement achievements in the areas of access, quality, health equity, health information technology, social risk factors screening, and COVID-19 public health emergency response for the most recent Uniform Data System (UDS) reporting period.  HRSA first awarded CHQR badges in 2021 for the 2020 UDS reporting period.  

According to HRSA, AEH’s “efforts are central to advancing a model of coordinated, comprehensive, and patient-centered care”.  AEH served 10,579 patients in 2022.  AEH has been incorporated in the state of Mississippi since April 1979 and offers primary care, behavioral healthcare, pediatrics, optometry, an optical shop, exercise therapy, women’s healthcare, HIV care, public transportation, and more across 4 freestanding sites, 3 school-based sites (2 new sites coming online in 2024), and 2 mobile medical units.
